Cinco de Mayo- Impromtu Get-Together with Friends

Well the big day is here… I can hear Mariachi music in the background… a colorful table… and well… lots of terrific foods… after all … food is how we celebrate.

Maybe you’re thinking of inviting friends over at the last minute tonight… an impromptu get-together… you can still do it…

You can do this in a snap..

A quick trip to the store… and you can pull this together quickly…and it’s all easy enough…

While the cake is baking… cook the meat for the tacos… while the meat is cooking… make the Mexican Layered Dip… set up the nachos or make the Nacho Pinwheels..so all you have to do is pop them in the oven…

While the cake is cooling… finish setting up the drinks and the salsa and chips…. then set-up the taco trimmings… soak the cake and pop it in the fridge… make the whipped cream and set it in the fridge… put the music on… when your friends arrive… pop the nachos in the oven and enjoy!

Tres Leches Cake… you can quickly cover the cake in whipped cream just before serving… or cut the cake first and put whipped cream on each piece… that’s the way I prefer to do it.
