This recipe for Sausage and Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms is
adapted from my Crab Stuffed Mushrooms... both are excellent and easy to make....
great for a party or even just an appetizer before a meal.
TIPS
I use breakfast sausage.... the breakfast sausage you use is
up to you... there are numerous options out there... "regular"
breakfast sausage... spicy breakfast sausage... chicken or turkey flavored
sausages... just remember the predominant flavor will be the sausage.. so pick
one you like.
Be sure to use sharp cheddar cheese ... it really adds
flavor.. the milder cheddars get lost in all the other flavors.
I chop the onion in my mini chopper to get it finely
chopped.
I used a good non-stick pan I have... if you don't have a
good non-stick baking pan... line your pan with non-stick foil.
