Freezing Blueberries

Tip of the Day:

This tip is from my Mother. Blueberries tend to be very expensive out of season, so she buys them in season and freezes them.

She places the clean and dried berries on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. She puts them into the freezer until just frozen (they will be like hard balls).

When they are frozen she places them in an air tight container or freezer bag and keeps them in her freezer for later use.

They’re perfect additions into cooked oatmeal or pancakes at breakfast or other recipes calling for blueberries.
