Recipe: Chili Dogs

Yummy Chili Dogs… they make a wonderful quick supper…  especially if you make the Chili in the crock pot… or even if you make up a quick pot of 30 Minute Chili… either way… make the chili one day and serve the Chili Dogs another night…. some oven fries and you’re in business!

TIPS

Make sure the chili is thick not runny… if the chili you happen to have is runny.. you can thicken it up with a bit of flour.. or plain tomato paste.

Chili freezes well…  so when I make a big pot.. I freeze some in small containers.. just enough for our Chili Dogs.

Make sure to have shredded cheese, chopped onions (green or white) for on top of your Chili Dog.

And mustard... Warren insists on mustard.. I'm a purist... no mustard for me.. but be sure to have some on hand for those who like it on their Chili Dogs.

Figure about 2 tablespoons of chili per hot dog.

Make minis for watching the game… always a fun food for gatherings.
