Easy Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks

Easy Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks... a little experimentation and some taste testing (of course) ... and this recipe was perfected... we just could not get enough of these... they were delicious!
They were much like the ones that come from pizza take-out places... but in our opinion... tastier and way cheaper...
TIPS
I used real butter... I know you usually see me use margarine ... but for this.. the favor of butter is important... but you can certainly substitute margarine for the butter if you prefer.
The amount of salt and garlic you use is really a personal choice... we like garlic.. and only a hint of salt... adjust the recipe to your tastes.
When you brush the melted butter on the dough.. you will initially have some left... keep brushing it on until it's used up... the bread really needs it...
I use unsalted butter... I'd rather add the salt myself so I can control how much salt is used.. if you use salted butter, omit the salt in the recipe.
Keep an eye on it in the oven.. it takes about 9 minutes (that's what mine did and I have an oven thermometer in the oven ... but every oven is different.. so start checking on it around 7 minutes.. you want it baked and the top lightly brown.. don't over-bake it or it will be dry.
The cheese quantity is approximate.. you want a nice covering of shredded cheese over your dough... go right to the edge.
The quick spray over the cheese of olive oil cooking spray helps the cheese spread and brown perfectly.
Try these... they're especially good with some dipping tomato pasta sauce.

Recipe:  Easy Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks
All you need:
1 can Pillsbury Classic Pizza dough
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (plus a sprinkling)
1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt (plus a sprinkling)
Sprinkling of Italian seasoning
About 1 cup shredded Italian Cheese blend
Olive oil cooking spray
All you need to do:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Spray a non-stick baking sheet with olive oil cooking spray.  Unroll the pizza dough and spread it into a rectangle... about 12 inches.
In a small cup mix the melted butter with the 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt.  Brush the melted butter mixture over the pizza dough.
Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the pizza dough.  Spread the cheese over the dough (right to the edge).  Give a quick sprinkle of salt and garlic powder, then a quick light spray of some olive oil cooking spray over the top.
Bake for 7-9 minutes the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
Remove from the pan and cut into sticks with a pizza cutter.  Serve with tomato sauce.
