Recipe: Patriotic Star Pound Cake Dessert

Vanilla Custard Sauce over a pound cake star… add a little fruit… a few red,white and blue sprinkles and you have an adorable treat to celebrate with.

This quick and easy dessert is sure to get everyone in the mood to celebrate the 4th of July. A ready-made pound cake and a star cookie cutter and you’re practically done.


You can also make this with a pudding or white icing..

If you plan on using the star spangles sprinkles… buy early… they’re hard to find and almost impossible closer to the holiday… so when you see.. get it.

Use the scrapes of pound cake for a trifle.

The sauce is quick to make and so delicious… I hope you try it!

Recipe: Patriotic Star Pound Cake Dessert

All you need:

Pound cake
Vanilla Custard Sauce

All you have to do:

Trim the crust off the pound cake. Then slice it through the middle, the long way (about 3 slices per pound cake)

Cut star shapes using a cookie cutter.

Drizzle (okay…pour)the custard sauce over the star… then garnish with strawberry slices and blueberries. Sprinkle with star spangled sprinkles.
