Recipe: Cheesecake Dessert Shooters

The person at Applebee’s who thought up the idea of dessert shooters should be given sainthood. The idea that you can have a little dessert.. is the best idea yet.

After all… moderation is the name of the game.. and for those of you that don’t want moderation… have two of them!

They have a number of different dessert shooters… but it’s the size that makes them appealing… they’re cute and delicious!

This great little recipe takes no time at all to make.. and is really a modified recipe of my No-Bake Cream Cheese Pie

TIPS

I used less Cool Whip in this recipe to give it a creamier consistency… (I only used ½ a tub)…. you don’t have to worry about slicing it so it doesn’t have to “set-up’ like a pie would have to.

I kept it simple… I used crushed chocolate wafers and melted butter for the bottom for a “crust” … if you prefer graham cracker crusts… simply substitute graham cracker crumbs for the chocolate wafer crumbs.

If you like a topping on your cheesecake… top it off with pie filling.

You can find these cute little clear plastic glasses at party supply stores or online. I used a 5 ounce size cup.

This recipe will make about 8 dessert shooters.

If you’re having a party.. this makes a great dessert… just double or triple the recipe…

Want to have a variety? Simply make some with graham cracker… some with fruit pie filling for a topping… or even mix in crushed Oreo cookies for a Cookies and Cream version… this will be a hit.. trust me.
