Recipe: Creamy Italian Pasta Salad
This quick and easy recipe for Creamy Italian Pasta Salad is a definite crowd pleaser… a perfect salad that’s a macaroni salad but with Creamy Italian flavors…. what’s nice about this salad is that it’s slightly different from the expected.
This salad is simply my Creamy Italian Dressing tossed with cooked pasta…. you can serve it as is… as I did in the picture.. or you can add in a variety of things… halved cherry tomatoes, sliced olives… chopped pepperoni or salami…cubed mozzarella or provolone cheese.
I made meatball subs and served this salad as a side… since my meatballs have a strong flavor I wanted the salad to compliment it….. not compete with it.. so I simply stuck with the pasta and the dressing… I think many cooks make the mistake of thinking they always have to add things in salad.. sometimes the simpliest is the best… it just depends on what else you’re serving with it.
TIP
My only tip is that I use 3 cups dried pasta (not quite a full box of pasta) to one recipe of the Creamy Italian Dressing. If you use more pasta or add things into the pasta… then increase the amount of dressing you use.
This salad is perfect with subs… either sandwich meat or meatball subs… a great weeknight supper.
I hope you try it!
