Recipe: Mini Pizzas

This recipe for Mini Pizzas is quick and easy… just 3 ingredients….put it together in 2 minutes… bake it for 8 minutes… and you have lunch in 10 minutes…. serve these with a small salad and it’s lunch… serve them as is… and you have a great snack food for a party… teenagers will love these…. so will everyone else..

These are great for a family night… you’re in and out of the kitchen in no time… and so much cheaper than ordering a pizza from takeout… and best of all… everyone can have their favorite toppings without breaking the bank.

TIPS

I made these as cheese pizzas… but you can add toppings if you want…. finely diced pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, red and green peppers, olives… just about anything you want.

This recipe uses Pillsbury’s Buttermilk Biscuits (the smaller sized ones…NOT Grands)… there are 10 biscuits to a can… they come in a value pack of 4 cans…. so just one value pack will make 40 of these little pizzas… great for the budget!

Use finely shredded cheese … not the regular shredded cheese… it will make it easier to put the cheese on top of the sauce.

I figure two per serving if for lunch with a small salad…. a snack food for a party… depending on your other foods you plan to serve… I would figure 3 per person if you have another substantial food item or a number of other things… 4 if this will be the main food.

Recipe: Mini Pizzas

All you need:

1 jar of Pizza sauce
Finely grated mozzarella cheese
Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits (smaller sized biscuits)

All you have to do:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Line a baking sheet with Reynolds Non-Stick Aluminum Foil or lightly spray the baking sheet with cooking oil.

Open the biscuit can and separate the dough into 10 biscuits.

Lay them on the baking sheet and gently press them to stretch them a little bit… making the sides higher than the middle (this will make putting the sauce and cheese on easier).

Fill each little well you created with about 3 teaspoons (measuring teaspoon) of sauce.

Carefully top each with the cheese.

Bake for 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and the sides are a light golden brown.

Remove from oven and baking sheet.

Cool on a rack for 5 minutes before serving.

I stopped buying the commercial frozen bites because I about fell over when I saw the price last time. This will be great!
