Recipe: Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

This is a basic recipe… nothing fancy. It uses Bisquick which works well… so why try to re-invent the wheel…. It’s quick and easy and tastes great. I started this recipe from a Betty Crocker recipe … we really like Red Lobster’s cheesy garlic biscuits… so I looked around the net for suggestions… the resulting recipe, I think is pretty close to the Red Lobster biscuits.

Cheesy Garlic Biscuit Recipe:

All you need:

2 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk
1cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon garlic salt

All you need to do:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick, Cheddar Cheese and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder.

Add the milk and stir until combined. Dough will be extremely sticky.

Drop by spoonfuls (I use a soup spoon) onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Using the back of a fork, gently press down on the tops of your dropped spoonfuls to make a more even top of the biscuit.

Bake for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl combine melted butter, dried parsley and garlic salt.

Remove biscuits from the oven and brush the tops with the butter/parsley/garlic mixture.

Continue baking for 5-6 minutes until tops are lightly browned.

Brush biscuits again with butter mixture.

Serve warm.
