Recipe: Mini Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

These little addictive biscuits are loaded with flavor…. easy to make… and a great addition to any meal.

Cheesy and garlic… what could be better? …. And I know for a fact there are absolutely less calories in these minis than a big ole biscuit…. of course … if eat just one.

TIPS

I know it’s not the healthiest option… but these do taste better when brushed with real butter and sprinkled with garlic salt…. These do need a salty taste.

I used fresh parsley… I personally don’t care for dried parsley.. fresh parsley adds so much more flavor.

I finely chopped a little roasted red pepper in this… to add some flavor.

You can use cheddar or a Colby Jack mixture… whichever you prefer.

I use a little ice cream scoop (actually called a cookie scoop) to drop them onto the baking sheet.

These are easy to make.. and even easier to eat… make them and watch them disappear!

Recipe: Mini Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

All you need:

2 ½ cups Bisquick
4 tablespoons cold butter
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 ½ teaspoons dried minced onion
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon finely chopped roasted red pepper
1 ½ cups finely grated cheddar cheese
¾ cup cold whole milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Garlic salt

All you have to do:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil.

Cut the butter into small dice. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter and the Bisquick, using a pastry cutter or fork. You want the butter to be small pebbles throughout the Bisquick.

Add the cheese, garlic powder, minced onion, parsley and roasted red pepper and mix.

Add the milk and stir until combined. Dough will be extremely sticky.

Drop rounded scoopfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown.

When you remove the baking sheet from the oven, generously brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt.

Serve immediately.
