This recipe for Parmesan Puff Pastry Sticks comes from my friend, Glenda Emmons.
This quick and easy recipe is a perfect addition to a meal.
The recipe is basic and uses commercial frozen puff pastry. I know there are variations out there to this, but I followed her recipe exactly as she gave it to me, and I must say they were great!
TIPS
Follow the instructions on the box for thawing your puff pastry.
You may have to gently press the seams together after unfolding the puff pastry.
Glenda’s recipe didn’t specify whether or not to brush both sides of the pastry with butter, I brushed both.
The recipe says to lightly grease a baking sheet. I use parchment paper instead. Ever since I tried using parchment paper, I have been hooked…. Nothing sticks to it and it makes clean-up a snap.
These are delicious… a BIG thank-you to Glenda for sending me this recipe…..I hope you try them!

Recipe: Parmesan Puff Pastry Sticks
All you need:
1 (17.3 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
4 tablespoons butter, melted
All you need to do:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, unfold the pastry sheets. If the seams separate slightly, gently press them together.
Brush the surface with melted butter. Flip it over and brush the other side with melted butter.
Cut the pastry into strips about ¾ inch wide and 10 inches long. You should get 13 strips.
In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and dried basil.
Roll the strips one by one in the cheese mixture, lightly coating both sides.

Gently twist the pastry sticks and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes.

Remove to wire racks to cool.
