Herbs 101: Chervil

Chervil is an herb that looks similar to Italian flat leaf parsley … it also tastes similar to parsley but has a slight sweet oniony flavor.
It’s used in a lot of French recipes and is a main ingredient in Fines Herbes, a combination of herbs used to flavor many foods.

It can be difficult to find.. we even had a difficult time finding what it looks like dried… but we found it at The Spice House. Com… you can order it from them online.

I've never bought, used or tasted chervil. Interesting herb.

I was making a homemade marinara the other day, when I found some chervil in the spice cabinet and added to the sauce, along with the usual ingredients. It added a nice complement to the other herbs.
